Beef curry

This typically Thai dish is perfect for gourmets who love spicy dishes.

For 4 people

Preparation: 15 min

Cooking: 15 min

400 g rump steak

1 small eggplant

1/2 green pepper

4 tbsp. green curry paste

1 onion

2 cloves garlic

40 cl of coconut milk

2 sprigs of Thai basil

4 tbsp. oil soup

1 to 2 tsp. fish sauce (nuoc mam)

1 tsp. 1 teaspoon brown sugar

Step 1

In a frying pan, brown lightly in 2 tbsp. oil, diced eggplant, chopped bell pepper and onion. Reserve them. In their place, brown the rumsteak in 1 tsp. hot oil.

2nd step

Reserve the meat. In its place, brown the curry paste in the rest of the oil. Return the vegetables and meat to the pan, add the coconut milk, 10 cl of water, squeezed garlic, fish sauce and sugar. Simmer until the eggplants are cooked. Add the stripped basil and continue cooking for 1 min.

Our advice: green curry paste is often very strong. If you are worried about the spicy flavors, look at the list of ingredients for the percentage of peppers or rely on the label which sometimes mentions the intensity of the product, displaying 1 to 3 peppers.
