Dosa and vegetable curry

In the air of pancakes, the dosa is an Indian preparation based on lentil flour. Discover this dosa recipe with vegetable curry that will surprise your guests during a dinner.

For 4 people

Preparation : 30 min

Rest: 12 p.m. + 6 a.m.

Cooking: 40 mins


- 1 glass of long rice

- 1 glass of blond lentils (urad dal)

- 1 nice pinch of salt

For the curry:

- 4 diced carrots

- 2 large potatoes in slices

- Thirty cherry tomatoes cut in half

- 1 sliced ​​onion

- 25 cl of liquid cream

- 1 heaped tablespoon of curry

- ½ bunch of chopped coriander

- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- 40 g of flaked almonds

- Fleur de sel

- Freshly ground pepper

The realization

Step 1

Soak the rice and lentils separately in cold water overnight. The next day, drain and mix the lentils with 2 glasses of water and the rice with 1 glass of water. Mix the 2 very smooth preparations, salt and let stand 4 to 6 hours.

2nd step

Brown the onions in the oil with the curry then add the carrots, potatoes, half the tomatoes. Add a little water and then the cream and simmer for 25 minutes over low heat. Salt and pepper, add the rest of the tomatoes and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with cilantro and almonds.

Stage 3

Heat a very large skillet and cook the dosas like slightly thick pancakes. Cook for 5 minutes on the same side and 1 minute on the other. Serve immediately.
