VIDEO - Game of Thrones (Season 8): what we learn in the teaser of episode 2

Winter is here. Monday April 15 marked the end of the final season of Game Of Thrones in France, after two years of filming. Highly anticipated by fans, the episodes will reveal the fate of the inhabitants of Westeros in the great war between them and the White Walkers. Who will survive the undead and winter and who will sit on the Iron Throne? This is the plot of the eighth season of the hit series, adapted from the novels of George R. R. Martin. On the night of April 14 to 15, the most impatient fans of the show were able to discover the first episode of the season, which has six in total. And viewers barely had time to find their favorite heroes when the channel HBO has already released a trailer for the second episode, which plans to be explosive.

⋙ Why ... "Why are there so many naked scenes in Game of Thrones?"

ATTENTION SPOILER. If the first episode appears as a transition episode - and reunion - the directors of the series, however, return to the complex intrigue between the protagonists, some of whom have not seen each other for several years. The arrival of Jaime Lannister in Winterfell, where Daenerys, Jon Snow, Arya, Sansa and Bran Stark are located, risks in particular reviving old quarrels. In the trailer for the second episode, we can see that the reception given to Cersei's brother and Tyrion Lannister is most frosty. And for good reason, he presents himself to his enemies from always. He is responsible for the infirmity of Bran Stark, the captivity of Ned Stark, the dispute between the Stark and the Karstark and the murder of Daenerys' father, King Aerys II Targaryen. During what appears to be his trial, the mother of dragons reminds him of the atrocities he committed. Jaime Lannister will have to try to redeem his honor, in order to ally with them against the White Walkers.

Also in the trailer, we understand that the battle against the living dead in Winterfell is imminent. From the first episode, we know that the White Walkers have passed the wall and that they are getting closer and closer to Daenerys, Jon Snow and their armies.

But the outcome of this fight will depend in particular on their internal disputes. Indeed, in addition to the quarrels linked to the return of Jaime Lannister, Jon Snow holds in his hands a heavy secret. In episode 1, he learns that he is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. He is therefore the legitimate king and could choose to steal the crown from Daenerys. He would then come into conflict with the one before whom he has already bent the knee.

In addition, Sansa Stark hardly seems to endorse the reign of the mother of dragons, and the tension is already palpable between the two women. In short, if the heroes have many reasons to divide at the dawn of the battle, they will have to remain united if they want to have a chance of defeating the White Walkers. It remains to be seen whether they will manage to put their quarrels aside.
